James M. Kane, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Kane is board-certified, with extensive experience in weight-loss procedures. Dr. Kane attended Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, D.C., after graduating from Creighton University. He received his specialty training in general surgery at the University of Illinois Chicago/Cook County Hospital and served as Chief Resident from 1989 to 1990. He also spent a full year in an academic research position for the Cook County Trauma Unit. Dr. Kane is a diplomat and fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has authored and co-author several published articles and abstracts.

Dr. Rantis was raised in the western suburbs of Chicago. Dr. Rantis attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received a Bachelor of Science degree and graduated summa cum laude with high distinction. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. He received his general surgery training at Loyola University Medial Center in Maywood, Illinois. Board-certified, Dr. Rantis is also a diplomat and fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and also authored numerous articles.

Born in Chicago, Dr. Guske received a Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee and his Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1991. He attended the Chicago Medical School of Mount Sinai Hospital for his internship and residency where he became Chief Surgical Resident. Since the completion of his training, he has practiced in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He is accomplished in bariatric as well as advanced laparoscopic surgeries. Board-certified, Dr. Guske is a diplomat and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Bariatric Surgery, Illinois Medical Society and Chicago Medical Society.

Dr. Wallace was raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and graduated magna cum laude. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Tufts where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.  Dr. Wallace received his general surgery training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and has been practicing in the northwest suburbs since that time. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Medical Association and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. He has a special interest in minimally invasive and bariatric surgeries.
